After being attacked

Melanie ran from her apartment, blood streaked down her face from a deep gash on her face. It got into her eyes and made them sting but she kept running. Footsteps were heard running after her. Putting on a burst of speed a hex went by her and made the ground explode beneath her feet, falling to the ground and landing on her arm with a yelp, she picked herself up and went on running to the apparition point. Using her remaining energy, she apparated to the ministry apparition point. Landing in the atrium, she ran for the safety of her office.

Bursting into the room, she didn't see Raven standing at the window. Collapsing against the closed door, she held her wrist to her chest and sobbed quietly. They were the men that took her mother all those years ago.
