It is late in the summer, and as the students prepare for the new school year at Hogwarts everything seems well. Maybe a little too well....

Personal: Marvin had a duel nature that most never see. To most people he's a sincere older gentleman with a soft spoken gentle demenor that can be stern at times. It was the same as a child. To most they though him meek with a penchant for being tidy and his obsessive complusiveness got him teased. Marvin was bookish to most always having his nose in one. The one close person to Marvin that he considered his friend actually stated that having his nose in a book and squinting at all that tiny print was why Marvin's sight went bad and he had to wear glasses. Marvin didn't mind. He still enjoyed reading and thought the glasses added a sense of dignity and originality to himself. Being top of his class and polite, respecting the teachers was all anyone ever saw. Everyone though Marvin to be boring and a bit of a wimp since he never partook in any sports or rough housing.

However the other side of Marvin that no one really caught a glimpse of was the side that seemed to have no conscious. No sense of right or wrong. Some would say that it made him cold, uncompassionate, and cruel. As a child he would catch the mice scurring about his home and use them. He would use them to satisfy his curiosity about how long it took for this or that to work on it or for the animal to die. They all died in the end, it was just a matter of how long. Marvin kept a notebook out and recorded everything, watching everything calmly.

It took awhile but his family soon started to realize that Marvin was a bit off. They sent him to family that was military oriented. They threatened to send Marvin to a military school to straighten him out. That was fine with Martin seeing nothing wrong with what he was doing and thought perhaps he could move up from mice, squirrels, snakes and whatever else he could snare. Marvin didn't have a chance to go to military school. Unfortunately the extended family he was going to stay with didn't have a chance to meet him since he received a letter from the American magic school. That opened many more doors for Marvin.

The students quickly learned that although Marvin appeared to be a pushover he could be quite cruel. Well, they saw him as cruel while he did not. After graduating, he moved to England where he'd been wanting to attend college. Going to muggle college since he saw nothing in the wizarding world that he had wanted to do, Marvin graduated with honors then bought himselfa a quaint bookshop. Or at least that was all anyone thought Marvin did. On the side he would occasionally kill for a price be it muggle or wizard.
